About Dave

Hi! I'm Dave Kasey from Phoenix, Arizona.  Originally from San Francisco, I began my career in radio while attending college back in the late 70's.  I left radio when I left college and started working in IT.  I returned to radio in 2016 when a small Low Power community radio station started in Sun City West, AZ.  At the station, I created a 2 hour show, playing music from the 50's thru the 80's. In December 2016, the show was also played on Sunday, and a listener wanted to know  why the station never played Smooth Jazz. This inspired me to create a  2 hour smooth jazz program. My Sunday repeat show became "Smooth Jazz Sunday"  now  "Cool Jazz Café"  and the rest is history!

I have always loved the Smooth Jazz Genre and have listened to it since it came out in the 80's  on stations like KKSF in San Francisco CA and KYOT in Phoenix AZ.
